PHILADELPHIA, PA – Eagles WR DeSean Jackson decided to honor the late Nipsey Hussle by wearing custom made cleats during his games every week. Jackson plans to auction off the custom cleats with all proceeds going to the children of the late music artist and entrepreneur.

Nipsey Hussle was murdered in front of his Marathon Clothing store on March 31, at the age 33. Both Jackson and Hussle who real name Ermias Asghedom were raised in the Crenshaw District of Los Angeles. The cleats have Hussle’s face on one side, with “Rest In Paradise” written on the inside. Hussle’s lyrics are painted on the other side of the shoe.

Jackson will no doubt be fined for wearing the cleats outside of the NFL’s “My Cause, My Cleats” period, yet often times it’s not always about the money but more about the principal.
Jackson will make sure all the way from Philly that “The Marathon Continues”.
