BOSTON, MA — The Los Angeles Clippers ended the first half of the season and their road trip with a heartbreaking double overtime 141-133 loss to the Boston Celtics. As the NBA gets ready for All-Star weekend in Chicago, many players who aren’t participating in the festivities will no question exercise their option to recharge and recoup during the break.
After Paul George left the game with an hamstring injury and did not return, this is the perfect time for him to heal and rehab, while newcomer Marcus Morris who was acquired in a trade with the New York Knicks, can soak in the Clippers playbook and philosophy more.
The road trip was not a successful one as the Clippers finished 1-4 with losses against the Timberwolves, 76ers, and Celtics. This team is loaded with the addition of Morris, and now with the second season coming up it’s time for the players to really gel together and make that strong playoff push in the Western Conference.
